Set your valves at .006 regardless of the sticker.  It keeps the valves from
burning and has been recommended since nearly day 1.

Jacking the timing up will give you more power but will overheat the engine 
in the summer on the highway.  It causes detonation and just a couple
degrees too advanced can cause problems.
     Of course the countries with higher octane gas can get away with more
but be careful or you'll be able to see through #3 piston.
