This cannot be ignored. Important! DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR until you have determined how cas is getting into the sump. The gas in the oil will destroy the lubricating ability and your engine will be toast. There is also the very real possibility of a major fire. While that would end the mystery of the running on two, it would also be very counter productive. Once you have fixed whatever is causing the gas in the sump be sure to change the oil with a good quality (does anybody use anything else?) straight grade oil. It would probably be a good idea to change it again soon (500-1000 miles). I was wrong once again already today, so if this isn't the problem I've got an excuse.
