Depends on how low you went...one spline won't hurt a thing...I've got mine down a notch in the front and it actually helped it on the highway...(late model pig nose acts like a boat when all the air gets underneath it at highway speeds...this puts more air over the hood...holding it down better) I've also got 195/50/15s that I use in the summer...haven't had a problem yet...and I use stock 165s in the winter...no rubbing or problems there either...next spring I'm going to go down another notch in the front and bring the back down to match...I'll let you know what it does then... And about Keith bottoming out over an intersection...that's why I don't let anyone else drive my car *LOL* ;) mikey Josh Curtis wrote: > > Hey i lowered my 69 fast back by taking off the bolts that hold the > torsion beams in and removing the ball joints and the shocks and > pulling out the lower torsion beam turning down and putting it back in > this is good and bad, it bad for your suspension but it looks good > just get a extra heavy duty shocks to help with the bumps. > > Also at one time there was a guy on this list that was getting orders > together for drop spindles for type III whatever happened to that. > > > 69 fastback > 79 euro rabbit 2.0 > 95 golf > -- > ******************************** > * josh curtis * > * home.ptd.net/~joshcurt * > ******************************** >
