Well.. I gotta disagree with Jim on this one (and thats a rare moment)! Bigger pads and rotors on the 72-3 mean more contact area and better brakes, especially going down a hill! I go through the bigger pads every 20K when I drove in town I can imagine how bad the smaller calipers were. I converted my 71 to the late brakes (and my 65 Notch too), change the steering knuckle with caliper and the tie rod end (both ends and steering arm for a complete beef up). Later brake parts are more $$ though. Im glad I have them coming down from the hillclimb or with the boat hitched in back. Keith
