hi all for most of you i guess it is winter now, which probably means shovelling snow to get in and out of your driveway for non vw cars! ...and not forgetting more time for projects! the query i have regards regards comfort rather than neccesity.my '63 notch rh drive),has a 1600cc with a s&s extractor and a single quiet pack(qp) exhaust system.i have no complaints about the workings of the system except the following. on deceleration i notice a very booming/droning sound.i thought that this may be due to the fact that the exhaust may be touching the rear valance.upon inspection i found that this was not the case.the exhaust is not touching the body at any point. a friend of mine has a beetle with the same system and having been in it,both as a passenger and a driver i can testify that this incovenience is not evident in his car. have any of you come across this problem before?the car sounds like it has a v8 back there(god forbid1).is this a common problem with notchs? regards vern (otherwise enjoying summer!)
