As far as I am aware and have been led to believe, there is one in the
Wolfsburg museum which I have seen and have photo's of, there is another
in the Karmann museum, and according to those in the type 3 club of
Germany, approximately 1 dozen were built in total, of which they
believe one is in private hands at least and a very strong rumour is
that a particular town in Germany during the 1960's had about 6 of them
made for a procession but nobody knows where they are now. If I lived in
Germany I would find out what city it was, look up old newspapers etc
and bloody well try to find the old workers from the time that would
have been involved with the cars from that towns councils etc.
