The 1st few weeks it was sold in the standard version like the regular VW1500. Then it was only available as 'N' version. It could be ordered with or withour reae seats. On most panels the rear windows were only covered with panels, but very few cars (I don`t have any numbers) for the Danish market had totally smooth sides without window frames. A total of 40,113 were produced, 494 were sold in Germany and most cars went to Danmark. The panel squareback was even in some sales brochures.
