I have always had a terrible time with replacement seatcovers. With the
combination of physical and mental stress it's always a guaranteed way to
work up a good sweat in any weather.

I have gotten covers which were obviously cut to the wrong pattern; these
have always been replaced without question. Other times it's just a matter
of getting the damn things streched on. The thing that finally worked for
me was to cover my padding with some kind of cheap, slippery
fabric--something that the inside of the new cover can slide over easily. I
have used old bed sheets and dish towels, anything handy. It is just that
the new covers often have some foam stuff stitched to their insides and this
stuff WILL NOT slip into place when it is facing another piece of foam rubber.

The makeshift cover doesn't have to be fancy. Just throw it over your seat
and stretch the cover over it. You can cut away anything left hanging out
when it is all over.
