Re[2]: Model Cars

When I was younger I was quite the modeler. I think that's when my
customization personality came into being. My airplanes were never factory
fresh, they were strafed with bullet holes and showed signs of an engine
fire at one time or another (you don't wanna know about the tanks... :)

But now I prefer the pre-made models like the 1/18 scale Porsches by
Maisto. Working steering, sun-visors, targas, spring suspensions, rubber
wheels that rotate, made of metal and pretty good detailing. They cost $20
to $40 each.

If you're talking the pre-made models then, by all means, count me in! A
working rear hatch *and* deck lid would be so cool.

I guess I 'll consider this kind of a survey:
How many people out there would pay $30.00 or so for a simple type 3
model??? By simple I mean a good looking shelf model with a moderate
amount of chassis/engine/suspension detail. As with any business,
demand says a lot for product availability, so I'm curious as to what
others think of this!
