Have you thought of putting the speakers above the rear seat armrests on both
sides of the car, there is an indentation in the body tin to accomodate  the
ashtray, this will give you extra space for the back of the speaker, my rear
speakers are mounted here and the front ones are at the bottom front corner of
each door.
