In the first year of my ownership of my '67 sb, that was 1994, I saw a VW tv-commercial with a early model sb in it. Of course I wanted a copy of this. I wrote to VW to find out when it would be broadcasted again so I could set my VCR. There advertising agency send me one free! This commercial was an awardwinner in Holland. The "script" is as follows: Music "dry bones" by Fred Waring & the Pennsylvanians. A parking station of a factory shows an SB with the subtitle "the founder of the factory", next shot a Thriumph Spitfire with subtitle "his successor". The next car is a Mercedes: "the third director". The following cars are getting bigger and bigger and growing in numbers suggesting the factory is making huge profits. Pay off: a Volkswagen Vento. First no subtitle then:" the crisismanager". advertising agency: DDB Needham I suppose you volks have seen "Witness" with Harrison Ford driving a SB? (and hitting a pillar with a pigeonhouse on it) I've also seen some parts of a recent british detectiveseries where a beautifull yellow SB is casted for the leading actor's. I don't remember the name of the series. Anyone else does? The SB is hit by a rocket launched from a helicopter. There aught to be a law against these practises :) Richard Visser The Hague Holland >T3'rs... > >A type 3 in the Fugitive? I guess I wasn't paying attention!
