In my 1835 Engine I am running at around 9.0:1. It is connected to a
stock tranny, but rear tyres are 205 50 15, so the final drive has
changed, also the car is a lot lighter than stock. When driving at 75 /
80 mph on the motorway in a hot english summer the oil temp got to a max
of 115 degrees C ( the sensor is in the external filter housing). I have
had no problems with this set up on the road or on the drag strip where
I have compleated 5 or so 1/4 mile runs straight after each other.

The thing only to be aware of is that I use high octane 98 (UK octane)
Super unleaded petrol

oops, I almost forgot to say that I have fitted a T1 fan setup and use
standoffs on the boot lid.
