You could have it ceramic coated. This will also control the heat radiation. There was an article (way back) in one of the American VW magazines about various coatings that could be applied. Jason R., were you and I talking about this at the last VW meeting? I thought you knew a place locally that did this. I think that to make an exhaust/muffler last longer, it helps to apply a more durable finish, such as: - applying a high temp (aluminium?) paint; - having it galvanised (by dipping); - having it flame sprayed; If anyone has tried any of these or other methods, please let me know your experiences.
