First dont put anything in your oil, it may not be the problem but I'd start 
here. second:  cheap gas will cause detonation on the highway and heating
use 92 oct min.

An oil light on is not an indication of heating necessarily, it means theres no oil pressure.  This may be worn out bearings but running cool. It may mean
bad oil.  If the bearings are (were) good and you drove it to the point of the
light being on you damaged them for sure!
