If it is the beam that is bad, and the beam being sold is complete (disc brake to disc brake), then why not do it yourself. It is not dificult when it is all in one piece. If you do not feel that you want or care to do the aligning and brake bleed and adjustment, replace the beam yourself and then get this repair shop to align it and bleed it. It is really not that hard. If the $175 is for JUST the used beam (no arms, torsion rods, steering, spindles, tie rods, brakes, etc.), it's a little steep. And the $225 for labor is kinda high also.
