type 3 production including prototypes- this is hard to get information
from VW archives and as far as I can tell, the most accurate you will
ever get- Aaron.

The total for the above is 2,587 980.
Another figure quoted from the factory is 2,584,905 so somewhere there
is the official figure!

I have yet another factory document showing what engine with what car
etc but I would have to photocopy that sucker or I will not get to bed
tonight!
