I have actually witnessed water coming in through the pillar vents. If you say
you've never had this problem then I think I have some internal damage due to a
semi-rollover I took to avoid a moron who ran a stop sign (I won the lawsuit,
BTW). I know about the FI cover (that's how I get to my power antenna :) and
don't have water leaks below the window line.
But, since we're on the subject of the pillar vents, is there a way to put in
new foam? I briefly looked at the area and didn't see any obvious way.

If you are getting water inside the back (above the engine) then I suspect
your problem is elsewhere. Two possibilities:
1) The plate that the FI computer is mounted to is improperly installed.
This black rectangular metal plate is located (under the vinyl trim panel on
squarebacks)...
