If you want the low down of what I did to my 'S' engine (some of you will remember), It took about six months and a lot of time and a bit of money for good measure. How keen are you to restore the engine? Full internal face, align bore, resurface flywheel, drill and tap galleries for cleaning, new everything internal, fully rebuilt 32PDSIT's, rebuilt 311 905 205D distributor, rebuilt fuel pump or NOS (with plastic cover that is meant to be clear but often yellow), heads, baked enamelling of the tinware, new rocca assemblies, the list goes on. I can't remeber what it cost but the machine work alone was into about $500 or $600 just to the case and crank. Aaron.
