Hey! My husband & I put our stereo in the glovebox...we just set it in there
and ran the wires out the front so as not to have to put holes in the box. It
works great, and the box still closes (the wires come out the lower corner
and don't interfere w/ the hinges at all). We like it because we have an old
original AM/FM Sapphire 14 in the regular spot which looks great and still
works, but has limited pick-up range.
