T3 list postings

Howdy Volks,

        things here on our new list seem to be going well; lots of great
Type III info, and pretty decent signal/noise ratio.

        I'd like to discourage folks from including images or large files
with their posts.  Some people pay for connect time & kilobytes through
their mailboxes, and some folks don't have access to a variety of platforms
& will have difficulty decoding binaries...  BinHex? uuencode? MIME?  No
format is good for everyone.

        If you do have some great resources (images, etc.) to share, it
would be better to do one of the following...

        a. announce their availability, and offer to send copies to
interested parties;
        b. put 'em up on the web;
        c. email me about it, and I might be able to throw the pix up on a
web page, at least temporarily; or
        d. post the pictures, etc. somewhere in the alt.binaries.*
hierarchy on usenet.
