heater channels

Hi All,
        From what I've heard type III heater channels are hard to come by.
The ones one the Egg are rusted out but the ones on my 69 are in good shape.
Is anyone familar with replacing the heater channel or know of a book ro
other documentation to describe the procedure? Any help would be appreciated.
