[T3] Subject: Front and bac(k) emblem

I've preferred not to advertise, even for VW, for free...so, rear "ads" removed, holes patched, and front emblem carefully cut, with a little metal bending, to remove two wings of the "W" so that I have an "X in the circle.? It confuses parking ticket officers, for starters.? Once, when registered in Maine, I got a parking ticket in Philly for "unknown" car from "MA" (for Massachusetts) which should have been "ME" (for Maine).? Unknown car, from the wrong state.? Saved $26.? 
 Maybe that was way back when I also used to hammer out the "VW" on hubcaps to make nice ad-free domes (painted w/ metalic paint), but few think to look at the hubs for ID anyway.

I often get asked...first...what Year is it?...then, as after-thought, WHAT is it??? In that order.

?I may have some un-altered emblems.? Will check.

Looking for a front and back emblem with mounts for a 72 Squareback. Tired of being asked " what is it " not sure if this will help but worth a try.
