[T3] Clean oil cooler?

I am doing a rebuild and am curious how I should clean out my old oil
cooler or whether there is a source for new oil coolers for T3s (as there
is for Type 1s).

Muir recommends using "solvent" in the oil cooler, but I would be afraid
that I would not get it all out and a little solvent in a newly rebuild
engine cannot be a good thing.  Am I being too paranoid?
