[T3] Possible to convert '73 Fasty to use '71 & earlier calipers/discs?
<x-html><!x-stuff-for-pete base="" src="" id="0" charset=""><html><head><style type="text/css"><!-- DIV {margin:0px;} --></style></head><body><div style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Hello all,<br><br>If you have a '72 or '73 Type 3 you probably know that calipers are pretty hard to find new...does anyone know if it's possible to convert a '73 front beam to accept '71 and earlier calipers by changing spindles (err, not sure if I'm using the right term, but I'm talking about the assemblies that carry the wheel and bolt to the ball joints)?<br><br>I've been slowly accumulating parts and restoring individual assemblies over the past 3 years (and also having another child, renovating a kitch and bathroom, etc,) and have started reassembly work on my '73 Fasty (I was t-boned by a stopsign running driver about 3 years ago). This past weekend I started the car for the first time in 3 years (I know, I shouldn't have let it go that long). Hopefully she'll be on the road by this
