[T3] New use for "Anything Foam"

It should be called-"nothing like foam"...but I found a new use for it that
actually works well.
My fuel filler "gasket" (the round cup-like gasket that goes around the fuel
filler pipe) is "worn" to say the least, cracked and a few pieces
missing...so I decided to experiment with the "Anything-but nothing
like-Foam". I taped the (back of ) the gasket into the shape it is supposed
to be, making a 'form mold' out of tape (also could have used plastic or
waxed paper for easy removal) and started by squirting some in to fill in
the cracks and chips that were missing...had to do this several times 'in
layers' for the pieces that were missing- so it didn't get too thick all at
once. By the way, I am using my finger to smooth it around and around so
that it is uniform and smooth inside the "cup" I'm making. It was a nice
sunny, warm day so I left it sitting by my open garage door as I was working
on other stuff to get ready for the Bug-In this coming weekend...and it
dried rather quickly and worked absolutely great! I put it back in and it
was the right amount of hardness and flexed just the right amount and fit
perfectly! and voila!- no more cracks or chips! It would look brand new if I
had taken more care in smoothing it out better (next time :)
