The line coming out of the tank with the big nut will be the feed line to the 
pump. It'll have a fuel filter spliced into it before the pump. The other 
fitting is the return line. The pump end will have the letter "S" (for suction) 
on it. The hose leading out of the pump to the engine is "D" (discharge), and 
usually goes to the left (drivers side in the USA) steel line in the pan.  On 
the pump the "R" is return, and will have a "Y" in it's hose line to tie it 
into the pan, and tank. I hope this helps.
