RE: [T3] generator issues continue...

First off, your rebuilt online one is more than likely going to have its own
problems...

The field windings can have insulation that wears thru and grounds against
the screws that hold the whole thing together, so make sure there is good
insulation on them and that their connections to the posts is good.  Check
to make sure the screw that holds the rear cover electrical connection on it
tight, it's the only screw youll see as you look in the brush end
lengthwise.

Get the right brushes, they are $2 and available anywhere... they should
slide up and down freely and yea, some of the rustier springs may need a
little help with a little block between them and the brush but in general
this isn't necessary until the brushes have worn down.
