Unless the PO put a relay behind the VR (Voltage Regulator) I'll bet it is
the VR. Give it a solid couple of thumps with a screwdriver handle and see
if that stops the clicking. If so, know you'll eventually need to replace
it. Otherwise it likely needs replacing sooner...I think our Wisconsian
trouble-maker has a FAQ regarding the VR. Bolted to the rear seat kick
board is a FI relay and I know that late models with a rear window defrost
have another smaller relay mounted on it, too.
