I was working on my fuel pump issue yesterday given the good break in the weather. I was able to locate the two wires that come directly from the pump and go under the dash, the power wire goes into the relay (#86) and the ground is attached to a ground receptical under the dash, that for lack of better words can be described as a grounding tree. I was testing for continuniuty in the wires at both the pump and under the dash. When I was checking the pump, I was getting power but for only one or two seconds at most. I know that the power stops if the engine does not kick over, but I had expected a longer duration of power to the pump. Can anyone tell me if the duration of power being supplied to the pump is suppost to be so short, when it does not kick over? I did not actually time it but could not help but notice how short the power supply to the pump was. <BR>
