Yeah, when I re-read his post, I realized that I had taken it wrong 
the first time.

It's still an interesting concept. And you really do need a flat four 
to make this fit. The interesting part would be coming up with heads 
that would have sufficient compression and would accommodate 
injectors and glow plugs.  

I wonder if one could buy unmachined heads from someplace like MoFoCo 
and then custom machine them....

It would be a real project.
