<DIV>Take the tank out clean it by putting solvent in it (paint thinner) just to get the grime out. Some people put a small chain in and shake it around to break loose garbage if it is that bad. Scrub down outside soap and water and green pad or 180 wet and dry. Hold the tank up toward the sun and look into the fuel gauge opening; if any pin holes are in the bottom U will see light. Worked for me in the past and surprised me to see pin holes when I thought it was OK. Cleaning the bottom of the tank, outside and inside is the secret.</DIV>
