I tried everything last night. I checked all the grounds and the fuses. I
have no idea what's going on! Is there a book on square backs that I can
pick up for wiring and stuff like that? If so does anyone have a lead on

Yes, they are out there, but most are bad.  If they are not too burned they
can be rebuilt and used with a relay.  You can change out contact buttons if
you want to keep the same keys, or find one without keys.

Can you still find the ignition switch for a 6 volt type 3?

One thing of note with the 6V cars is that the ignitions switches were
really weak and failed early, this could cause a lot of strange problems.
You really need to add a relay on the starter solenoid to carry the heavy
current of the solenoid when starting, otherwise the ignition switch wont
last long.
