[T3] Silver painting woe's, the latest.
Today I discovered that my gun is NOT an HVLP, only the literature that came
with it is for HVLP... so they sold me the wrong gun all those years ago! I
also found out that it's a 2mm noozle, great for the heavy primer and it
worked fine for my painting all these years but the paint shop believes this
is my problem in that its way too big for spraying on the Metallic. Im
buying a new HVLP gun with a 1.4 Noozle
Last night I was sure that the paint was the problem as I have shot metallic
with my old gun before with no problem... so Im still not sure but will have
a new gun to try tommoro, the noozle in my old one is really too big but Im
worried a bit now that I wont be any good at painting with HVLP, at least
without a lot of practice which I wont get just doing the door jambs and
trunk.
Sigh!
We shall see... and I only have a couple more weeks of painting weather left
here in the northeast before the summer heat really sets in for good.
