[T3] windshield replacement part II
Thank you to Brian Fye for the pointers. It took all
of about one hour to reinstall the windshield on the
'70 with noone helping push or hold anything. For you
guys who got freaked out by the horror stories
regarding installation, no worries. It's really easy.
Warm up the rubber in the sun, lube the heck out of
the rubber channels and the metal and use string at
least 1/8 inch thick. I also used a plastic bike tire
spoon, works as a kind of like a small finger for
pulling out the rubber stuck in the channel on the
front. I got all my info from Brian and put it into
use. Worked out great. Go slow and walk away when
feeling frustrated(also from Brian). Thanks again.
Good luck. Andy
