[T3] "for sale" postings

There are no policies imposed on us from the outside that forbid
for-sale postings.  I know that some lists do have such restrictions,
as they have hosting terms that forbid for-profit use, but that's not
the case here.

While I don't think that anybody would want to see [T3] become filled
with more ads than tech talk, I think it's still fine to toss up a
quick "here are my TYPE THREE parts for sale, drop me a line off-list
if you're interested" post.  In fact, there is a steady history of
folks doing just that:

Yes, there are still the classifieds on the vwtype3.org site.  Over
the past couple of months, they have been under "attack" by spammers
posting with ads for cell phones, pharmaceuticals, and other junk.

It was becoming a losing battle from our end.  I would put more and
more filters into place, but some would still leak through.  I came
close to taking down the classifieds altogether, but it seems to have
quieted down now.

As others have said, thesamba.com is absolutely the A-number-one place
for buying & selling VW parts; Everett has done an AMAZING job with
that site.
