[T3] Intro

Just thought I'd introduce myself.  It seems to be a bit of a custom on 
the other lists I belong to.

My name is Andrew and I am a student at the University of Iowa.....woo.  
I currently drive an 84 Vanagon and still own my 74 Baywindow and an 85 
Jetta (soon to be sold).  I have had two beetles in the past but figured 
that vans are my thing.

until now....

So, I found a great deal on a 71 Squareback near me.  I went to visit it 
yesterday and just fell in love.   It needs some work to get running but 
has solid pans and nothing major seems to be missing.  There is rust 
peaking through some of the fenders so I know that will have to be 
addressed as well.  All and all the car is going to be great.  The 
seller is a Jeep guy and this seems to be a classic case of not really 
knowing what you are selling (he called it a Volkswagen Type 6).

So I thought I'd join the T3 list to see if I could share in some of 
everyones expertise.  I've already got a few questions but I think I'll 
wait until I dive into the car before I start asking silly questions.
