Agreed.  My driver side door...oops, sorry Dave ;-)...my left side door
started to squeak on the upper hinge so I pried the black plastic cap off the
top of the hinge and applied penetrating oil, then worked the door
back-n-forth a few times.  In a couple weeks of use the creak went away and
now I keep it topped up with normal household oil.
