Ya know, in the aftermarket manuals, the late ones usually list in the low
to mid 200's and they DO sell them from time to time.  When you figure new
car mufflers are getting close to a grand in many cases a $300 correct
original for a VW really isn't much.

I agree this muffler is more scarce.  Someone may even step to $300.  They
still show up though.  I sold 2 last year because I felt it was pointless
to hoard them.  They both came from eBay a few years ago.  A friend of
mine was looking for one and said he just bought one off eBay this week
for $150?  I didn't see the auction.
