To generalize, there are some dreamers on there.  Less so in regartds to 
Type 3 parts though. I think it might be better for you to be more 
specific in your question on whether a particular item is overpriced. 
Post some link(s) and I'm sure people will have their opinions.

I agree with some of the other responses made so far that if it priced
fairly, it will sell almost right away.  Most of the stuff I list will
will sell the same day, a lot of times within an hour.  This rule does 
not typically apply to Type 3 parts though.  I'd say a week is more 
likely there as a "quick sale".  Like Russ, there are certain things I 
have 20-30 of so it the ad may look old but I've already sold 15 so you 
can't tell.  :)

I have sold several in the past at that price.

You should never be afraid to make an offer on what you think something
is worth regardless of the asking price.  I even have people make offers 
on parts that do not say "obo".  I normally respond with a polite "the 
price is firm" unless the ad has been running for some time.

Since we are on the subject of long-running ads, I would pay good money
