The only shows where original tires would be of any "value" would be for a concours event to which there are none for VW's that I'm aware of (at least in the USA). Not to mention that they would be a danger if actually put to use! Offset only affects the rims, not the tire. So the tire can be used on ANY vehicle that can use that tire size. You are correct, the rim offset of a T3 is different than a T1. I will be posting on Samba ( separately in Beetle and Type 3 sections) 4 absolutely new 6.00 - 15 Continental tires. These came into my possession couple years ago from Germany after an extensive search. My car is absolutely original and tires were intended for the shows only. Show car with original tires gets many points on shows, I was told. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
