I was in and under the car last night playing with the seats. The right seat moves reasonable well now front to rear and back again. A piece of black plastic material about 3 inches long and maybe 1/2" tall fell out of the left side of the driver's seat track and the seat moved back about an inch to the rear of it's travel where it is now stuck (again) and won't move forward or back. I did get the backseat carpet up and the tarry looking panel under it. The floor is not as bad (at least where I can see it) as I thought. Perhaps I can just find some heavy sheet metal and make a liner for it... Where the battery goes is OK but to the rear of the battery there is a good sized rust hole also but this doesn't look like a structural area so maybe I will Fiberglas it up. I know my car will never be show quality, I just want it to look halfway decent and be a fun ride around town! I suspect this piece of plastic was a guide and perhaps a slide aide for the seat mechanism. Jim, is this the infamous and rare piece you have cornered the world's market of? It appears to have been held on by a Phillips head screw from the front of the seat rail. Thanks! 71 FB (in dry-dock) Stephen J. Jackson Commissioning Engineer, Petron Industries, Inc.
