The VIN on the tunnel is the "official" one, so swapping pans would make your notch a '67. You would know the difference, but after the swap the car would be much less desirable and much less original. I'm not a body man, and this stuff frightens me, so trying to cut and fit in just the pan halves seems pretty daunting to me. The thought of cutting up a pristine '67, even to restore a nice '63 would also be very hard for me to do.
