Re: [T3] Cut a floorpan or not...
<x-flowed>Is the pan in the 63 original? Meaning do the #s match. If so I would keep
the backbone to the 63 an use the pan halves from the 67. If you dont the
complications will be: Wrong pan-vin combo that the DMV wont register,
different heater connections between 63 and 67 and if you sell the car
later-wrong pan on a early notch is less desirable hence possibly less $ and
less attractive to a picky person like me. All the tech stuff can be altered
to work but you end up with a franken-notch. Not quite 63, part 67. These
kind of cars are the reason allot of ?? get asked. Why does......

Hello!
I have a -63 Notchback with rotten floorpans that I need to change. Now I
have bought a sparepartcar, -67 Fastback, with a solid, no rust floorpan.
So my question is: Should I cut the -67 floopans, driver- and
passengerside, and weld them in in the -63, or should I use the hole -67
floorpan an switch the front- and rear axle, transmission and so on from
the -63?
Any comments and suggestions?!?
Thanks!
