[T3] Service priceing question

<x-flowed>OK, It's hot, I'm fat and lazy and It's past time to do my 3000 mile 
maintenance.  I'm dreading doing the valves, adjusting the rear brakes 
and changing the oil, pretty much everything that has me crawling around 
on hot pavement.

I called a shop and he quoted me about $300 for points, timing, 
compression check, valves, rear brakes, oil change and maybe one or two 
other things I forgot.

Is that about the price I should expect of I shop around?

For $300 I'll do it myself.
