Okay, but I still never felt that this minor diameter of that O-ring was large enough to actually seal anything. > I wonder if that can be fitted to a sealed beam unit - I'll take a look at the > one from Jim A. You probably don't have enough of the assembly to see how it works. All I gave you was the bulb, but it sits in an adjustable cradle (for aiming the headlight) that has a stainless rim around the lamp. It would be the gap between that rim and the trim ring which is the big one for us. That gap is pretty much necessary in order to be able to aim the sealed beam headlight. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
