You may be able to press one in and angle the clock enough to move it a bit, then do the other one. In truth, generally when I replace the clock I don't let both springs click into place just to save that hassle again. The schematic at www.hallvw.clara.co.uk/vwwiring.htm shows 3rd from right, doesn't it? Dave.
