If not, then there's a wiring problem is in the gauge circuit, or the gauge itself. If it reads full, the sender may have a problem. Someone else on the list had similar questions, Jim A. had this to say. Remove the nut and washer on the bottom and pull the alum can off. They you can see what the problem is. Note that the wire inside is soft and fragile. You may be able to fix it. If you can't, I may be able to. Don't break the wire. And Dave Hall adds: There's a diagram at www.hallvw.clara.net/fuelsend.htm which will give you an idea of what to expect. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
