<x-rich>Can anyone say if the German made carpet for 1972 Squareback is still available. Who sells it? Keith mentions "general quality" with which he was VERY happy. What carpets are those, who makes and sells them. Are rubber mats also available? <fontfamily><param>Helvetica</param>Kind regards Ark Mirvis </fontfamily> On Sep 9, 2006, at 8:42 PM, Keith Park wrote: <excerpt>I think they are ALL made by TMI, and if I understand correctly there are 3 qualities: Astroturf... the Crap that JC whitney sells General quality... I forget what they call it but I was very happy with it... there were a few spots where it didn't fit but nothing serious. German Square weave... $$$$ not sure if its worth the money but it's the same quality as the original. I have had really good luck with buying parts from WCM, and they sell "Sure Fit" carpet kits....so I would guess these kits to be good quality kits. A long time ago (when I first started hunting parts for the resto), I bought another kit from some other supplier (TMI kit?), but I'm not sure I made the right choice as far as quality. Can anyone here speak from experience on the Sure-Fit carpet kit, or make another suggestion? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ </excerpt> </x-rich>
