Jim, Well I got the car to run last night. I shifted the timing and it cranked, only thing is with a timing light I check on the pulley and it is about 2-2.5 inches to the right on the pulley of TDC. I don't know why the timing would be that far from where it should be. I have not pulled the trigger points yet. The voltage was ok when I checked it. The car skips at idle and a little when it is running, it runs pretty smooth, but there is the slightest skip in it. It is hardly noticeable most of the time, unless you listen closely Driving you will feel it barely but it doesn't seem to affect the power any. I don't know on the gas mileage, I haven't driven the car in quite a while and the muffler had a big hole in it when we did drive it, got one of those tuck up under the rear apron muffler now- I am impressed by how good that looked and performs. So far everything seems to be pointing back to the distributor.
