I'm sure Keith knows, but everyone should bear in mind that as you rise 
in elevation the engine runs leaner (less oxygen), so the run up the 
Rockies can be especially hard on the engine in combination with daytime 
heat (road surface temps are particularly high) and low humidity (less 
cooling effect). Retuning for altitude when you reach about 3,000 feet 
is not dumb.

Western Utah and Nevada will be very hot that time of year, by any 
reasonable standard.
